Ted's distinguished career began at Standish, Ayer & Wood - one of Standish Mellon's predecessor firms - in 1962 and he became Chairman in 1989. He became Chairman of Standish Mellon in 2001 and Chairman Emeritus in 2004. He is a Director of the Conservation Law Foundation, Land Trust Alliance, A Better City, The Trustees of Reservations, and The Boston Company Asset Management. Ted is Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and a Trustee of Wheelock College. Ted is also Chairman of the Boston Committee on Foreign Relations, a member of the WGBH Board of Overseers, and Vice Chairman of the Massachusetts Taxpayers Foundation. He is a former Director of Citizens Financial Group, Harvard Management Company, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. Ted has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. from Yale University, holds the CFA® designation and has 49 years of investment experience. |

In 2007 Mitchell became Chairman of the Fixed Income, Cash and Currency Group within BNY Mellon Asset Management. This Group includes Pareto, Standish, Alcentra and BNY Mellon Cash Investment Strategies and has over $500 billion in assets under management and 469 employees worldwide. Mitchell joined Standish as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman in 2004 from Pareto Partners, where he served as CEO from 2000 to 2004 and still serves as Chairman. He joined London-based Pareto Partners in 1993, which developed into a fixed income and currency overlay manager and was partly owned by Mellon. Prior to joining Pareto Partners, Mitchell managed Citibank's Private Bank business in Frankfurt, Germany. His other responsibilities during his 14-year tenure at Citibank included managing the offshore banking, investment trust and Treasury business for Citibank's European Private Bank in the Channel Islands and managing the London Private Bank of Citibank for European Mutual Fund distribution and Marketing. Mitchell began his career as a strategic planner for the City of New York. Mitchell is a member of The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation Senior Management Committee and holds an M.P.A and a B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany.

Des is Standish's President & Chief Executive Officer and heads Standish's Active Fixed Income business. He also sits on the Board of Managers of Standish, the Fiduciary Risk Committee of BNY Mellon Corporation and on the Operating Committee of BNYM Asset Management.
Des joined Standish in 2005 as the Chief Operating Officer and subsequently rose to the position of President in 2007 before becoming the President and CEO in February 2009. Prior to taking on his present role, he was responsible for product development and had line management responsibility for Investment Operations, Technology, Risk Management, Trading, Finance, Structured Products and Global Workout Solutions.
Prior to joining Standish, Des served as the Chief Operating Officer at Pareto Partners. Des has over 20 years of related industry experience, including the positions of CFO and Treasurer of GM Asset Management in New York and CFO at Asset International in Greenwich, CT. He has also worked as Managing Director and Head of European Pension Strategies for Deutsche Asset Management. His early career was spent working with the Frank Russell Company and the London Stock Exchange.
Des has an MPhil in Management Studies from the University of Exeter, where he also served as an Honorary Research Fellow, and a BA from University College Dublin. |

Kent is Chief Investment Officer of Active Fixed Income responsible for overseeing the management of all single and multi-sector taxable bond portfolios and strategies. Kent joined the firm in 1998 as an emerging markets debt analyst. He transitioned into portfolio management in 1999, initially serving as a global high-yield portfolio manager and, in 2001, assumed responsibility for Core Plus portfolio management. Prior to joining Standish, Kent analyzed emerging market bonds for Rowe Price-Fleming International, Inc. in London and spent five years with Jeffrey Slocum & Associates. Kent is a former term member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a member of the Fixed Income Management Society of Boston and holds the CFA® designation. He has an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, a B.A. from Williams College and has 18 years of investment experience.

David is Standish's Deputy Chief Investment Officer, reporting to the Chief Investment Officer. In conjunction with the CIO, David is responsible for overseeing the management of all single and multi-sector active fixed income portfolios and strategies. In addition, the Head of Active Fixed Income Trading reports to him. David also serves as the head of Standish's Counterparty Risk Committee and is a senior member of the firm's Fiduciary Committee. Prior to being promoted to Deputy CIO in September 2008, he spent 11 years as the firm's Head of Active Fixed Income Trading. He has broad experience trading investment grade corporates, high yield corporates, emerging markets debt, liquid products (i.e., Treasuries, agencies, TIPS), structured products (i.e., ABS, CMBS), derivatives (i.e., swaps, futures, forwards, options), and global/non-US securities. He joined the firm in 1989 and has spent his entire 21-year career with Standish. David has an M.B.A. from Boston College, a B.A. from St. Lawrence University and holds the CFA® designation.

Alex is Managing Director of Global Sales and Marketing and is a member of the Standish Board of Managers. Alex has oversight responsibility for all aspects of Global Business Development within Standish's Active Fixed Income division. He works closely with the various distribution teams within BNY Mellon Asset Management International to promote Standish's non-US business. Alex joined Standish in 2004 from Pareto Partners in London where he held the position of Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Pareto's Europe and Middle East clients since 1997. Prior to joining Pareto, he was Vice President and Head of Product Management at Bankers Trust Company in London and New York for five years. Alex has 25 years of experience in financial markets. He is a Fellow of the UK Securities Institute and received his Diploma in Accountancy from City of London University.

Christine is Managing Director, Tax Sensitive Fixed Income. She manages tax-sensitive fixed income portfolios for larger institutional, insurance and high net worth clients. She joined the company in 1995 from Gannett, Welsh & Kotler, where she was vice president responsible for municipal bond research and trading. Christine has an M.B.A. from Boston University and a B.A. from Georgetown University. Christine is a Trustee for the Dedham Institution for Savings and a floating member of its Investment Committee. She is a member of the Board of Development of Noble & Greenough School and is also active in alumni affairs for Georgetown University. She is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society and the National Federation of Municipal Analysts. Christine holds the CFA® designation and has 21 years of investment experience.
